Q:Why is there a difference in softness and hardness for the same knife?
A:
The elastic scrapers are ground at an angle using a traditional water-grinding process. Due to grinding wheel wear during batch production, slight thickness variations occur, which inevitably affect the soft and hard feel. This is a common industry characteristic.
Q:Why is the surface of the blade uneven?
A:
The uneven surface is caused by oblique grinding marks from the process required to achieve elasticity. These marks, especially at the starting point, are inevitable process residues that do not affect the product's service life.
Q:Is the blade made of stainless steel? Will it rust?
A:
Yes, it is made of martensitic stainless steel 420J2. While it has good corrosion resistance, it may rust if soaked in acidic/alkaline materials for long periods or left dirty. Clean and dry it after use to prevent rust.
Q:Can the blade be bent without deforming?
A:
The blade can naturally restore after bending to a certain angle. However, if bent beyond the cutting range, it will deform. It is designed to be elastic but has limits.
Q:Why are there arcs and edges at the corners of the shovel?
A:
The back of the blade is fully hand-polished for smoother operation. This manual process results in arcs and edges at the corners, meaning consistency may not be 100% perfect.
