Q:What is the warranty period for Sangobuild asphalt shingles?
A:
The warranty is normally 20-30 years, depending on the thickness selected (2.60mm for 20 years, 5.2mm for 30 years).
Q:Do the colors fade over time?
A:
No, the colors do not fade. We use CARLA natural stone chips from France, which offer excellent weather and UV resistance.
Q:Why are nails needed if the shingles are self-adhesive?
A:
Nails are used to fix the shingles initially. The adhesive activates and strengthens only when exposed to sunshine and higher temperatures.
Q:Is a waterproof membrane necessary before installation?
A:
Yes, a waterproof membrane must be installed. Options include self-adhesive membranes or polymer PP/PE membranes.
