Hydraulic buffers are typically used for higher speeds (>1.0 m/s). For low-speed elevators (less than 1.0 m/s), polyurethane buffers are the preferred choice for their simplicity and reliability.

A: Replace if you notice: visible deformation, surface cracking, powdering, hydrolysis, or inability to recover after compression. Per T/CEA 0055-2024, the buffer should also be replaced if it fails the specified technical conditions during inspection. Regular visual inspection is recommended.
