The upper plate is a flat zinc-finished metal arm that carries mounting holes and an engraved marking showing its adjustable angle range.
A black housing joins the plate to a pivot so the upper part can swing to different positions.
The lower section is a polished chrome rod with a threaded end, a large flat washer and a hex nut for through-hole mounting.
An L-shaped metal bracket with four round holes is used at the other end to bolt the mechanism onto a frame.
The combination of a hinge plate and a rigid rod makes it suitable for adjustable headrests and armrests on upholstered furniture.
