Shown in its folded state, this sofa bed mechanism is built around a black tubular metal frame with woven black fabric decking stretched across the top.
Two wide white stiffening slats run across the middle of the deck to reinforce the sleeping surface and help prevent sagging.
Small tension springs around the inner edges of the frame hold the deck fabric firmly in place while keeping it evenly taut.
Hinged leg and linkage assemblies on both sides fold out of the way during storage and can be lowered to support the bed when it is opened.
Flat metal plates with pre-drilled holes at the ends of the mechanism are designed for fastening the unit securely into a wooden sofa frame.
