This set contains a matched left and right pair of heavy spring-assisted hinges for lifting furniture tops.
The main arms are stamped from metal and finished with a smooth semi-gloss white paint that blends with most furniture frames.
Large polished steel coil springs are hooked across the upper arms to supply tension and assist the lifting movement.
Each hinge is built like a multi-jointed scissor linkage, with round riveted pivots and an L-shaped mounting flange for secure fixing.
Small pre-drilled holes on the plates let the pair be screwed onto a frame, making it suitable for lift-top coffee tables and similar lifting furniture.
