8700 sewing machine manufacturers

The 8700 is a classic high-speed single-needle lockstitch machine. You must prioritize a maximum sewing speed of 5,000 stitches per minute (SPM) and a stitch length of up to 5mm. Ensure the machine features a fully automatic lubrication system to prevent overheating during long production shifts. For modern energy efficiency, look for models equipped with a Direct Drive Servo Motor, which reduces noise and power consumption by up to 60-70% compared to traditional clutch motors.

Check the casting material of the machine head; it should be high-grade iron to minimize vibration. The rotary hook, which is the heart of the machine, should ideally be a genuine Japanese-made hook (like Hirose or Koban) for superior stitch consistency and longevity. Verify that the needle bar and feed dog mechanisms are made of hardened steel to withstand continuous operation in a factory environment.

For the European market, the machine must have a CE Certification covering the Machinery Directive and Low Voltage Directive. For North America, UL or ETL certification for the electrical components is preferred. Ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Origin and that the motor complies with RoHS standards regarding hazardous substances.

The 8700 is designed for light to medium-weight fabrics, such as shirts, suits, sportswear, and curtains. It is the backbone of garment factories, upholstery workshops, and fashion design studios. If you intend to sew heavy materials like leather or thick denim, you should inquire if the supplier offers a 'heavy-duty' modified version of the 8700 with a larger needle bar stroke.

Always request the original factory serial number and verify the brand authorization letter if purchasing a name-brand 8700. Conduct a third-party pre-shipment inspection (PSI) to ensure the internal components are new and not repainted used parts. Sourcing through reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com allows you to select Audited Suppliers who have undergone rigorous on-site verification.

Industrial machines are heavy and fragile. Insist on seaworthy export packaging, which includes a reinforced wooden crate or double-walled corrugated cartons with thick foam inserts. Ensure the machine head is vacuum-sealed or wrapped in anti-rust film to prevent corrosion from sea air during long-distance transit.

Since international returns are costly, negotiate for a 1-2% spare parts kit (including needles, bobbins, tension springs, and belts) to be included for free with bulk orders. Confirm a warranty period of at least 12 months on the motor and PC board, and ensure the supplier can provide technical video support for troubleshooting.

Use Secure Payment services provided by professional B2B platforms to ensure your funds are only released after you confirm receipt of the goods. For large orders, a 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L) is a standard and safe international trade practice.
