Acrylic storage jar manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize high-grade virgin acrylic (PMMA) over recycled materials to ensure maximum transparency and UV resistance. It is critical to verify that the material is BPA-free and food-grade certified if the jars are intended for kitchen use. Additionally, check the wall thickness; a thickness of 3mm to 5mm is generally required for commercial durability and a 'glass-like' premium feel.

For food or cosmetic storage, ensure the lids feature high-quality silicone gaskets or vacuum-seal mechanisms. Request the supplier to provide leak-proof test reports. Furthermore, if the jars are for stackable use, verify the base-to-lid interlocking design to prevent sliding, which is essential for retail display and space-saving efficiency.

For the US market, products must comply with FDA 21 CFR 177.1010 standards for acrylic plastics. For the EU, LFGB (Lebensmittel- und Futtermittelgesetzbuch) or EU Regulation No. 10/2011 certifications are mandatory. Always ask for SGS or Intertek lab test results to confirm the absence of heavy metals and harmful plasticizers.

Professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com usually offer silk-screen printing, UV printing, or laser engraving for branding. For high-volume orders, you can request custom mold injection to create unique shapes. Ensure the supplier supports Pantone color matching if you require tinted acrylic rather than clear finishes.

Acrylic is prone to scratching and cracking. You must mandate individual bubble wrap or PE bag packaging for each unit, followed by 5-layer corrugated export cartons. For LCL (Less than Container Load) shipments, insist on palletization with corner protectors and 'Fragile' labeling to minimize handling impact.

Focus on the weight of the raw material rather than just the unit price. Since acrylic resin prices fluctuate, locking in a price based on a specific gram weight per jar ensures quality consistency. Ask for a tiered pricing structure where the unit cost drops by 15-20% when moving from 500 to 5,000 units.

Look for the 'Audited Supplier' badge and review their Audit Report conducted by third parties like SGS or TÜV Rheinland. Prioritize suppliers with at least 3-5 years of export experience and check their Transaction History to ensure they have successfully shipped to your target region previously.

The most common issues are 'silver streaks' (crazing) caused by poor cooling processes and yellowing over time due to low-quality resin. To prevent this, require a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) to check for bubbles, scratches, and clarity under high-intensity light. Ensure the Gold Supplier agrees to a quality guarantee period of at least 12 months.
