Long sleeve shirt manufacturers

When sourcing long sleeve shirts, prioritize fabric weight (GSM) and material composition. For formal dress shirts, a 100% long-staple cotton with a thread count of 80s to 120s ensures a premium feel. For casual or workwear, look for polyester-cotton blends (65/35) which offer better wrinkle resistance and durability. Always verify the colorfastness rating (Grade 4 or higher) to ensure the dye does not bleed during washing.

Sizing standards vary significantly between US, EU, and Asian markets. You should request a detailed size chart including neck circumference, sleeve length, and chest width. It is highly recommended to order pre-production samples to verify the 'Fit Type' (e.g., Slim Fit, Regular Fit, or Relaxed Fit). Ensure the supplier follows ISO 3635 size designation standards to minimize return rates from end-consumers.

To differentiate your product, consider adding functional treatments such as Non-Iron (Moist Cure) technology, Moisture-wicking finishes, or Anti-microbial coatings. For outdoor or workwear long sleeve shirts, UPF 50+ UV protection and reinforced stitching (double-needle felled seams) are critical for performance and longevity.

Ensure the products meet OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, which guarantees the absence of harmful substances. For the US market, compliance with CPSIA (for children's wear) and FTC labeling requirements (fiber content and care instructions) is mandatory. For the EU, ensure adherence to REACH regulations regarding chemical dyes.

Implement a Third-Party Inspection (TPI) before the final balance payment. Use the AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) 2.5/4.0 standard to inspect stitching, button security, and measurement tolerances. Platforms like Made-in-China.com offer Secured Trading services and audit reports for 'Diamond Members' to help verify factory capabilities before you commit to large volumes.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate based on volume tiers; for example, increasing an order from 500 to 1,000 pieces can often reduce costs by 10-15%. Discuss Incoterms clearly—while FOB (Free On Board) is standard, DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) may be more convenient for new buyers as it includes all taxes and shipping to your warehouse.

For apparel, vacuum packaging can significantly reduce the volume weight, lowering air freight costs. However, for high-end dress shirts, flat-pack or hanger-pack is preferred to prevent permanent creasing. For large orders, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most economical, while Rail Freight is a viable middle-ground for shipments from China to Europe.

Always use Escrow-based payment systems or Letters of Credit (L/C) for high-value transactions. Avoid direct wire transfers to private bank accounts. Utilize the Audit Reports and Business Licenses available on Made-in-China.com to confirm the supplier is a legitimate manufacturer and not a middleman with no quality control.
