Naphthol as-g manufacturers

Buyers must prioritize the purity level, which should typically be ≥98% for high-quality applications. Key parameters include the melting point (200-205°C), moisture content (≤0.5%), and alkali-insoluble matter (≤0.2%). Ensure the particle size is consistent to guarantee uniform solubility and coupling reactions in dyeing processes.

Naphthol AS-G is primarily used as an intermediate for organic pigments and a coupling component in the dyeing of cotton, linen, and viscose fibers. It is essential for producing Pigment Yellow 12, 13, and 17. In the textile industry, it is favored for achieving excellent light fastness and washing fastness in yellow and orange shades.

Suppliers must provide a valid Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS/SDS) compliant with GHS standards. For export to the EU, REACH registration is mandatory. Additionally, ensure the product meets ISO 9001 for quality management and check for compliance with OEKO-TEX Standard 100 if the end product is intended for the textile industry to ensure no restricted hazardous substances are present.

Naphthol AS-G is a light-sensitive and moisture-sensitive powder. It must be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated warehouse, away from direct sunlight and oxidizing agents. Verify that the supplier uses multi-layer moisture-proof packaging, such as plastic-lined woven bags or fiber drums, to prevent clumping and degradation during long-term storage.

The primary risks include quality inconsistency and regulatory non-compliance. To mitigate these, always request a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) by third parties like SGS or Intertek. Utilize Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to ensure payment is only released upon confirmation of product quality and quantity.

While Naphthol AS-G is generally classified as non-hazardous for transport, it is often treated as a sensitive chemical powder. You must ensure the supplier provides a 'Certificate for Safe Transport of Chemical Goods'. For international shipping, FCL (Full Container Load) is recommended over LCL to avoid cross-contamination with other goods.

Focus on volume-based pricing tiers; typically, orders exceeding 500kg to 1 ton qualify for a 10-15% discount. Negotiate for free samples (50-100g) for lab testing before committing to a bulk purchase. Additionally, request a fixed price agreement for 6-12 months to hedge against fluctuations in raw material costs (like acetoacetanilide).

Always verify the supplier's Business License and Export Qualification. Conduct transactions through audited suppliers on Made-in-China.com who have a proven track record. Avoid direct transfers to private bank accounts; instead, use Letter of Credit (L/C) or Escrow services to protect your capital against non-delivery.
