Never source bottles and pumps from different suppliers without a physical fitment test. Even standard 'FEA 15' necks can have slight tolerances. Always request a pre-production sample where the cap 'clicks' securely and the pump screws or crimps perfectly onto the bottle neck to prevent evaporation.

Negotiate based on mold ownership and life-cycle. If you are paying for a custom mold, ensure the contract states you own the intellectual property (IP).
