Yes, the hydraulic elevator dam can achieve arbitrary dam high water retention.

Q:How does the dam work if sedimentation on top of its surface is more than 30 cm?

It is designed to withstand severe mud and sand sedimentation. It can adjust up to a vertical angle of 75 degrees to wash away sedimentation under normal flow conditions. If not completely removed, the remainder will not significantly affect lifting or dropping.
