This heavy-duty frame is built from matte black square and rectangular steel tubing and is topped with a series of parallel metal slats.
Some slats sit higher than others, indicating that part of the slat platform can slide outward to widen the sleeping surface when needed.
Four sturdy corner legs raise the frame off the floor, and small light-colored swivel casters fitted beneath the inner supports make the unit easy to move.
A horizontal cross brace runs underneath the frame between the front and rear legs to keep the structure rigid when it is loaded.
Silver hexagonal bolts and nuts secure the outer frame corners and the leg joints, while thin tie wires around the slats hold moving parts in place during transport.
