This heavy hinge is made of thick stamped steel with a matte zinc plated surface. Two flat arms meet at a double pivot joint in the middle of the unit.
Both ends of the hinge are bent into L shaped mounting brackets. Each bracket is drilled with round and slotted holes so screws can be positioned easily.
The slotted holes allow small corrections while the hinge is being installed. Once the screws are set, the hinge stays firmly on the furniture frame.
Stop pins beside the pivot show that the joint locks at fixed angles. The moving part can be clicked into position and will hold while in use.
This hardware suits headrests, armrests and folding panels on upholstered furniture. It keeps both sides working evenly when a pair is fitted.
