This mechanism consists of a matching pair of heavy steel frames fabricated from welded square tubing in a stepped outline.
Each frame carries several pre-drilled holes along its rails so it can be screwed to the internal wooden structure of the furniture.
A black mounting block is fitted to the top of each frame and holds a lever made from a thick length of bent steel wire.
The lever swings on a bolted pivot so it can rotate against the frame when the two sides of the mechanism are folded or lifted.
With its raw steel finish the hardware is intended to be concealed inside upholstered sofa beds or under lifting storage platforms.
