This pair of hinges is designed to tilt a sofa headrest or armrest into several locked positions. Every unit contains a stamped mounting bracket, a circular ratchet joint and a curved support arm.
The L shaped bracket carries pre-drilled holes so it can be screwed to the wooden frame of the moving part. Each face of the bracket is drilled for a balanced fixing.
The curved tubular arm joins the joint to a threaded post at the bottom. A wide flange and hexagon nut secure the hinge after the post is inserted through the frame.
The internal ratchet lets the headrest click forward angle by angle and hold there under load. When the part is pushed to its final position the mechanism resets for folding back.
Heavy steel parts with chrome plated tube and zinc plated plates give a corrosion resistant set. The matched left and right units keep both sides of the furniture working together.
