This adjustable hinge joins an L shaped chrome rod to a stamped steel mounting plate. A dark plastic housing forms the pivot between the two sections.
The plate is bent at a right angle and carries screw holes so it can be fixed to a wooden frame. An arm with an elongated slot gives a range for position setting.
The chrome rod is the part that is buried in the moving section of the furniture. Its round profile turns smoothly inside the frame of the headrest.
A series of rivets holds the stacked plates together at the joint. The pivot lets the headrest tilt forward and be set at several angles for comfort.
The plated steel and plastic construction keeps the mechanism light and rust resistant. It is made for repeated adjustment inside upholstered seats.
